Stringjoy 10-52 Heavy Bottom: Power, Balance, and Comfort

So you like a set of strings that pack a punch, huh? You like to lay into the big strings heavily, but still want to be able to bend the little ones? Well, our Stringjoy 10-52 Heavy Bottom sets are exactly what you need.

This set fixes the two tension issues that arise in typical 10-52 sets: the 2nd string is too light and the 5th string is too heavy. We fix all of that by replacing the typical .013 with a .0135, bringing perfect balance to all the plain strings. Then, down below, we reduce the gauge of the 5th string to a .040 (from the typical .042) to make the whole thing uniform.

These two adjustments give our 10 Heavy Bottoms great balance across the plain and wound strings, with some extra tension on the bottom end for heavier players, or just those looking for a thicker low end tone.
